This video has a lot of throwback clips revealing a more intimate version of Dr. Dre’s life than I’m sure most of us are used to seeing.

So here’s the track that has created all the buzz around the hip-hop world lately.  An unknown source apparently has over 50 unreleased Em tracks that were supposed to be scrapped, but instead he/she is releasing them for our listening pleasure.  This track was supposedly recorded in 2007 for one of Em’s albums or possibly even Dre’s Detox.  This particular track is a tongue-in-cheek criticism of the lack of lyricism in today’s hip-hop, and personally I think it’s genius. “It’s not about lyrics anymore.  It’s about a hot beat and a catchy hook.”

Good news – Detox may not be an urban legend after all. First came the single, and now we’ve got the visuals. Looks like the Doctor’s gearing up for an actual release.

This is the FIRST OFFICIAL SINGLE FOR DETOX. Are you kidding me?! He was serious about that album the whole time?!

Apparently so. But unfortunately, this still isn’t the finished version.

It seems like Dr. Dre is getting more involved with endorsements than with making music. I just want Detox already.
