I woke up and the site was down. I later came to find out that the password to my database was changed. Basically, that means everything that has ever been posted on here is lost. Really sucks.
But on the bright side, I was starting to think that the site was getting a little slow. Maybe the database was getting a little too chunky (it was full of everything I’ve posted since January 2009), or maybe the servers were getting bogged down by everything I’ve done to them (I’ve found that whenever I try to mess with the complicated shit, all I do is mess it up). Either way, the blog is now on a new database with a squeaky clean server. That should help speed things up.
I also decided to slightly change up the layout, so it’s easier to find the music you want. I would highly encourage the use of the Downloads page, because it will keep you up to date with your mp3s. Every good song that comes out will be up there within a day of its release/leak.
As for the main blog, all the songs will obviously be on it, but also any news I deem worthy of posting. That could mean music videos, album artwork, etc. New songs will all be filed under the Downloads category, and everything else will be filed under Other.
I’m sorry the site went down. I know you missed it.
T-Pain talked to mixtape daily about that T-Wayne album that everyone has been so anxiously awaiting. Here’s what he had to say:
“The T-Wayne album, we’re actually gonna wait until he gets out,” Pain said about Weezy’s jail time. “He has so much going on. He has Rebirth out right now. I don’t wanna interrupt that. We just gonna wait until he gets out to really get in on that. We recorded a bunch of songs. But, right now, it’s time for him and his personal sh–. We definitely got an album’s worth of material, but it’s only an album’s worth. It’s nothing to pick from. We just got an album. We can put out whatever we feel like and say, ‘Hey, this is T-Wayne’s album,’ or we can actually try to make it good. Like we’re actually trying to make an album and say, ‘This is the good T-Wayne album.’ Rather than just record 12 songs and say, ‘Here you go, mutha—-as! I know you want it. You gonna buy it anyway, just ’cause you think it’s good.’“
This features Fat Trel and Black Cobain, but it might have been better with just Wale. Nothing against Fat Trel or Black Cobain, but if you listen to Wale on this you’ll know what I mean.
